1. Has your attorney studied the franchise contract, discussed it completely with you, and do you both approve it without reservations?
2. Does the franchise require you to take any steps which are either illegal or even border on illegal, or are otherwise questionable or unwise in your state, county or city?
3. Does the franchise give you an exclusive territory for the length of the franchise period, or can the franchisor sell a second or third franchise in your territory?
4. Is this franchisor connected in any way with any other franchise company handling similar products or services?
5. If you answered yes to the above question, what is your protection against the second franchising company?
6. Under what circumstances can you end the franchise contract, and at what costs to you?
7. If you sell your franchise, will you be compensated for your goodwill or will it be lost to you?
8. How many years has the firm offering you the franchise been in operation?
9. Does the company offering you this franchise have a reputation for honesty and fair dealing among its franchisees?
10. Has the franchisor shown you any certified figures indicating exact net profits of one or more of its members, and have you personally checked the figures with these people?
11. Will the franchisor assist you with: a) A management training program; b) An employee training program; c) A public relations and advertising program; d) Capital; e) Credit; f) Merchandising ideas?
12. If needed, will the franchisor assist you in finding a suitable location?
13. Is the franchising firm adequately financed so that it can carry out its stated plans?
14. Does the franchisor have experienced management, trained in-depth?
15. Exactly what can the franchisor do for you that you cannot do for yourself?
16. Has the franchisor investigated you carefully enough to assure itself that you can successfully operate at a profit to both of you?
17. Does your state have a law regulating the sale of franchises, and has the franchisor complied with that law to your satisfaction?
18. How much equity capital will you need to purchase the franchise and operate it until your income equals your expenses?
If you can get the answers to each of these questions, and those answers satisfy you, then you're probably thinking about buying a pretty good franchise deal. However, if you're in doubt about any of these points, be sure to check it out and know the answers for certain before you invest or sign anything.

Buying a franchise can give you a measure of security, and in some cases, sure-fire profits. Business surveys show that fewer than 20 percent of all new franchised businesses fail. This is in comparison to a 60 to 80 percent failure rate for all new businesses started in this country each year.

Information regarding specific franchising ideas can be found in the franchising directories, which are generally available at the local library. Often there will be a notice posted in franchise outlets themselves.

Sistem pemilu di Australia dilaksanakan untuk memilih wakil-wakil rakyat, baik ditingkat federal/ nasional maupun ditingkat Negara bagian dan teritori. Pada tingkat federal sistem majelis dan keanggotaannya sudah diatur berdasarkan konstitusi.

1. Federal

Pada majelis ditingkat federal atau nasional bersifat bicameral atau dua kamar, yaitu majelis rendah dan senat. Majelis rendah bernama House Of Representatives, beranggota 148 orang yang ditarik dari masing-masing Negara bagian secara proporsional berdasarkan jumlah penduduk.

Berdasarkan ketentuan tersebut, Negara bagian new south wales memperoleh wakil 50 orang, Victoria 38, queensland 25, western Australia 14, south Australia 12, dan Tasmania 8orang, dan masing-masing 2 orang wakil bagi tritori NT dan ACT. Berdasarkan ketentuan konstitusi , pemilihan bagi anggota majelis rendah dilaksanakan 3 tahun sekali; tetapi dapat dilakukan pemilu sebelum habis masa bakti 3 tahunan, bila mayoritas anggota parlemen menghendakinya.

Majelis rendah Victoria memilih 88 anggotanya untuk masa bakti 4 tahun, sedangkan majelis tingginya beranggotakan 44 orang dengan masa bakti 2 kali mamsa bakti majelis rendahnya.

Pemilu bagi 44 orang anggota dilaksanakan di 22 daerah pemilihan yang masing-masing daerah pemilihan memilih 2 anggota. Batas maksimum masa bakti majelis tinggi tersebut adalah 2 kali masa bakti majelis rendahnya, namun masing-masing satu anggota dari setiap daerah pemilihan pension setiap satu kali masa bakti majelis rendah. Oleh karena itu setiap 4 tahun sekali diselenggarakan untuk mengisi setengah dari anggota majelis tinggi yang pension tersebut.

3. Queeensland

Pemilu di queensland hanya untuk memilih anggota majelis rendah yang berjumlah 89 anggota setiap 3 tahun sekali.

4. Western Australia

Majelis tingginya berjumlah 34 anggota untuk masa bakti 6 tahun. Sementara majelis rendahnya 57 anggota dipilih setiap 3 tahun sekali.

Pemilu bagi 34 orang anggota dilaksanakan di 6 daerah pemilihan. Untuk masa bakti 6 tahun, namun masing-masing satu anggota terpilih dari setiap daerah pemilihan pensiun setiap 3 tahun sekali. Oleh karena itu setiap 3 tahun sekali diselenggarakan untuk mengisi 6 anggota majelis tinggi yang pensiun tersebut

5. South Australia

Majelis tingginya berjumlah 22 anggota untuk masa bakti 6-8 tahun. Sementara majelis rendahnya 47anggota dipilih setiap 3-4 tahun

6. Tasmania

Majelis tingginya berjumlah 19 anggota untuk masa bakti 6 tahun. Sementara majelis rendahnya 35 anggota dipilih setiap 4 tahun sekali

7. Northern Australia

Pemilu di Northern Australia hanya untuk memilih anggota majelis rendah yang berjumlah 25 anggota setiap 4 tahun sekali

8. Australia Capital Terithory

Pemilu di Australia Capital Terithory hanya untuk memilih anggota majelis rendah yang berjumlah 17 anggota untuk masa bakti maksimum 3 tahun. Ini baru diberlakukan pada 1989.

Lima majelis tinggi Negara bagian dinamakan Legislatif (Legislative Council)sementara majelis rendah Negara bagian dan teritori memppunyai nama yang sedikit berbeda. Kecuali majelis rendah disouth australias dan Tasmania yang bernama House of Assembly, seluruh majelis rendah Negara bagian dan teritori disebut dengan legislative Assembly.

Penerapan sistem majelis baik ditingkat federal maupun Negara bagian dan teritori mempunyai dampak yang luas bagi perwakilan politik anggota parlemen . sistem perwakilan politik bagi anggota parlemen tidak hanya menggunakan satu sistem perwakilan, tetapi semua sistem perwakilan yang ada dipergunakan.
